How to get to Avignon

  • Avignon is served by high-speed trains from main French cities, highways and an international airport. If you decide to come by car, you can find free or pay parkings. The "parking des Italiens"  is free and near the conference location.

  • Please note that there are two train stations in Avignon, both served by high-speed trains: one is located in the city centre ("Avignon Centre") and the other is 6 km from the historic centre ("Avignon Gare TGV"). This latter train station is linked by a regular train or bus to the city centre

How to get to the meeting venue?

  • on foot: Avignon is a relatively small city. So, if you book a hotel in the centre of the town, you can easily walk from your hotel to the conference venue. It's also the best way to discover this historic medevial town through the pedestrian streets
  • by bicycle : you can rent self-service bikes "Velopop"
  • by public transportation inside the center
  • by city buses (for example, lines 8; C2; C3; CityZen Les Italiens). Get off at bus stop "Université" or "St Lazare"
